Embossing dies are used for pressing text or images into material. A few common embossed items are greeting cards, license plates, and candy boxes. Embossing dies are made of steel, copper, magnesium, and also epoxy resin.
Photoetched dies are used for printing, embossing, debossing, and minor hot stamp applications. Etched dies are available in magnesium and copper. Etched dies are very economical and good for short runs.
Hot stamping dies, branding dies, hand stamps,and metal marking dies. Marking dies are made of steel, magnesium, brass, and copper. Stamping dies are commonly used for hot stamping (foil stamping), stamping metal, and printing.
Silicone rubber dies are commonly used for hot stamping graphics on varius shaped products. Silicone rubber conforms to surface variations inherent to plastic molder parts and delivers a consistent, quality stamp. Silicone dies require a master mold to be machined in order to be formed. These rubber dies can be recoated with the master mold once they wear out.
